The Averna / Mindready / Sederta SD-PMC-400 PMC communication adapter enables high-speed interconnections for heterogeneous real-time systems. Based on the FireWire™ (IEEE 1394) High Performance Serial Bus, the adapter links any PMC-based computer with other real-time computing systems. In addition, the SD-PMC-400 connects up to 64 computers on the same bus using daisy chain or tree topologies. This cost-saving functionality requires the installation of only one card per computer, versus multiple cards as required by traditional point-to-point solutions.
